After the girls and their pets arrive at an island paradise for Chelsea's big dance competition, they decide to make a quick side trip to see the nearby Dancing Horse Festival. But when their furry friends go missing at the event, it's up to the sisters to find them before Chelsea's show. While the puppies are out having an adventure of their own, the girls must use their imagination and work together to find their furry friends in this tail-wagging good time.

With Chelsea's big dancing contest just around the corner, the wonderful big sister, Barbie, takes her sisters, Skipper, Stacie, and Chelsea along with their adorable pets, Rookie, Taffy, Honey, and DJ, to sunny Hawaii for some fun under the sun. Their first stop is at a rehearsal for the Dancing Horse Festival; however, when the puppies go missing, a suspenseful chase begins, as the sisters try to overcome the obstacles to find their beloved furry friends. On the way, the girls will also learn about loyalty and trust, as well as the most important life lesson of all: finding the courage to believe in yourself.
