A pregnant woman, isolated in her village for defying the order established by the headman, sets out to discover her own power with the help of nature.
In present-day Turkey, in an Aegean mountain village, there is tension between a woman nine months pregnant and the village headman. All the men in the village are sent to work in mines in other cities and Gülsüm, a nomad woman, is the only one who opposes this order established by the village headman. Gülsüm lives outside the village with her daughter. Her beliefs and lifestyle are different from the others. She is considered strange because she prefers nature, the forest and animals. When Gülsüm cannot control her anger, Adem, the headman, isolates her in the village. He forbids the villagers to even pass by her house. The recent events are an opportunity to silence and intimidate this woman. Gülsüm is desperate. She is about to give birth and has two options; either she will conform to the system or she will trust nature and her nature.
