Baldurs Draumar is a film about Geirr Tveitt, one of Norway's most colorful and distinctive composers, and his lost masterpiece "Baldurs Draumar".

1938: Aulaen, Oslo. Composer Geirr Tveitt performs his great work "Baldurs Draumar" for an exquisite concert hall. This was the highlight of the year in Norwegian music life. After concerts in Copenhagen and Paris, the score was sent to London for a possible performance at the Royal Opera House. 1950: Tveitt says that "Baldurs Draumar" was lost during a bombing raid on London during the war. 1970: The house of Tveit burns down and together with it: 8 large wooden cupboards full of notary and compositions. However, in remnant of Tveitts - burned notary, a sensational discovery is found: "Baldurs Draumar".
