Baggy Pants was the world's first superhero. Now he's the oldest. But this elderly crime fighter (and his equally elderly super-heroine wife) still have a few tricks up their sleeves as they continue to combat crime.

An animated series with two unrelated segments. "Baggy Pants" featured the eponymous anthropomorphic cat as a Charlie Chaplin imitator, portraying the "Little Tramp" with Chaplin's signature toothbrush mustache and walking cane. The segment was silent, with the characters performing in pantomime. "The Nitwits" was a superhero comedy. The elderly superhero Tyrone emerged from retirement, convinced that he is still able to fight crime. He partnered up with his elderly wife Gladys, who was eager to help hit out.—Dimos I

Baggy Pants was a cartoon cat based on Charlie Chaplin. He featured in the Baggy Pants section of the cartoon, naturally, and didn't talk. The Nitwits, in a separate section, were based on characters from Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In. The voices were supplied by Laugh-In regulars Ruth Buzzi and Arte Johnson.—<[email protected]>
