"Lucky" Walden, a former power lineman turned criminal, faces execution but his sentence is commuted. Despite a heroic act, he resumes illegal activities, drawn back to the criminal underworld after his release from prison.

"Lucky" Walden is a power lineman-turned-criminal. He is due to go to the electric chair, which he helps prison electricians wire correctly, when his sentence is commuted for an act of heroism.
