Madhav and Anandi do their best to provide all that they can to Shankar. But when Shankar's biological parents seek custody of their son, things take a different turn.

Set in a small village in Maharashtra in the 1990s, Baba is the heart-warming tale of a deaf and dumb couple, who adopts a normal child and brings him up with the little money they have and lots of love. Their world is torn apart when the child's well-to-do biological mother comes back to claim him. How they try their best with the meagre savings to fight for their child's custody forms the basis of this bittersweet, slice-of-life story.
