Brothers Arcadio and Santiago fight for control over their family's tequila empire. Arcadio marries Azul, who Santiago loves, to gain inheritance. Their wedding is interrupted by a peasant revolution, and Azul is kidnapped by gangsters.

Arcadio and Santiago are brothers that conduct a fight constantly, for control above a domestic empire on the production of tequila. Their father, Adolfo Berriozábal, promised to pass a production in an inheritance to the first grandchild. Arcadio decides to marry Azul, in spite of the fact that Santiago loves his future wife deeply. Arcadio is finished speaking with a father Azul about her marriage with him. Wedding is interrupted by peasant revolution that intrudes in a city. Azul is stolen by gangsters.
