"Aweful Movies with Deadly Earnest" was produced by ATV-0 Melbourne with the first show aired on 20 October 1967, with the final show aired on 2 February 1973. All shows were hosted by Deadly Earnest except the final episode, which was not hosted. . Ralph played the role in a Gothic style. He was assisted by "Claw" played by Ralph's left hand, "Hoof" played by Ralph's foot, Igor - a missive devouring sound effect, and Lily a skeleton. The show was initially screened on Fridays at 10:30pm until 10 April 1970. From 18 April 1970, the show was screened on Saturday nights. The show moved back to Fridays, but now at 9:30pm from 18 August 1971. From 26 May 1972, the show changed times slots to Fridays at 7:30pm - now screening episodes from "The Outer Limits". Due to electricity power outages, the show did not air on 1 March 1968 and 28 November 1968. On 24 December 1971, the show was not screened and was replaced by "Carols by Candlelight".—The Professor
