A teenager rebels against an oppressive ideology enforced by the authoritarian administration of his school and is committed to a mental institution.

Louis, a 16 year old high school student, writes and performs a play at his school. When the teachers see him smoking a joint on stage for one scene of the play, he is immediately sent to the office of Mr. Lagacé, the principal and punished for his creativity. At first Louis only exchanges harsh words with the administration, but soon escalates into action; he breaks into his school and in a rebellious gesture causes $2000 worth of damage through vandalism. He is quickly caught by the police who are overly brutal with him and his father very happily agrees to send Louis to a mental institution.
