This film is a tribute to an important literary personality, the Syrian classical philologist-researcher Evangelos N. Roussos, internationally recognized for his contribution to pre-Socratic philosophy, a man of constant transcendence.
In this tribute, Evangelos N. Roussos narrates in a unique way to poetess Matina Moschovi pivotal events of his life and science, simultaneously commenting with admirable vigor on the perennial problems of man and contemporary reality. Teachers, typographers, and free-thinking scholars in post-war Ermoupolis served as his points of spiritual and moral orientation. The intensive study of literature, both Greek and foreign, led him to a space of freedom with ample scope for the development of his personality and for his personal expression. This space of freedom was, par excellence, ancient Greek thought.
