Synopsis

Nat Turner's almost mystical powers inspire both slave and slaveholder to seek the glory of the Lord but when he preaches violence as a means to freedom and revenge after the beating and raping of his wife, violence is metered out resulting in his death by hanging along with the other runaway slaves who participated in the killing of slave holding families.
