The philosopher Cometan takes audiences back to 1915, to the beginning of the Armenian Genocide during the reign of the Ottoman Empire in which 1.5 ethnic Armenians were murdered. Visiting places important to the story of how the genocide began and how it was executed, Cometan highlights stories of key figures who tried to save as many Armenian lives as possible. The documentary concludes in contemporary times by looking into the current movement attempting to gain recognition for the Armenian Genocide as a genocide by governments around the world, a movement that the Turkish government is eager to stop.
