An all-girl band flees to Argentina to avoid their creditors.
After Al, Harry, and Jimmy, variety promoters, get into trouble over a scheme in New York, they stow away on the boat taking their performers Bonnie, Maxene, Patty, and Laverne to a show date in Argentina. Bonnie falls for Eduardo, a wealthy polo player she later mistakes for El Tigre, a famous local bandit. Al, Harry, and Jimmy team up with the girls to try to save the hotel owned by Mama and Papa Viejos.—Jim Beaver <[email protected]>
Vaudeville and theatrical promoters, Al, Harry and Jimmy, have so many creditors that they have to rent a theater to talk to them all. Hoping to appease them, they put on a musical show with the Andrews Sisters - Maxene, Patty and Leverne - backed up by Bonnie Brooks and her all-girl orchestra. The entertainment is good but there is no appeasement money and a near riot, and all the entertainers escape to board a ship bound for the Argentine where they have been promised work at a new resort hotel. At sea, the Ritz brothers have to scrub decks to pay their fare, and the Andrews Sisters kidnap the ship's orchestra, so that Bonnie and her band may play instead. In Argentina, Bonnie falls in love with a rich playboy, whom she thinks is a bandit, while the brothers and sisters combine to help Viejo's save their hotel.—Les Adams <[email protected]>
