Set in the distant future, religion once again has a grip on the world. A group of church crusaders stumble a piece of outlawed arcane technology and begin to question the church.

Set in the year 3048, the world of this time has regressed 2000 years in history, after a nuclear apocalypse rained down on the world 500 years ago. Before this apocalypse, science had almost proved religion to be false, and people were shifting from the old ways. When the apocalypse hit, the survivors, scared and mystified turned back to the church for sanctuary and to repent their sins. This brought the church to become the leading military and political body in the world. To never be rivaled again, the church outlawed all science and technology, anyone who studies science or uses anything technological is to be sentenced to death. They have banished, music, literature, politics and anything else that gives people free thought and mind. Crusades have broken out again, and the crusaders, who are the foot soldiers of the church, bring survivors, into their churches' numbers to continue its power. A group of these church crusaders finds a piece of arcane technology, understanding it does no harm, they begin to question their teachings and their church.—Chris Finnigan
