A young peasant girl goes to work as a "slave" for a rich family in Haiti's Big Apple.
This film traces the travails of a poor peasant girl that leaves the countryside and goes to the capital (Port-au-Prince) of Haiti, to work for a well to do family. It shows a problem that exists in Haiti and many poor countries: modern day slavery practised by locals from these countries. 1 out of 10 children are endentured labour in Haiti (UN data 2003).—Abdel Nassar
