An unexpected encounter with an otherworldly visitor, leads a narrow-minded widowed Native American on a path of self-awakening, in order to save not just his ill-fated buddy but also the rest of humanity. Prophecy, Belief and Faith.
A flash of Light is seen in the stars. It is the coming, it is only a matter of time when millions if not billions of people end their lives, lose their minds due to extreme shock and awe unless they believe. The world they had been led to believe since the beginning of time was deception by the non-indigenous. For now they must learn and believe, for the truth will set them free. Prophecy, belief and faith can change the world.—Joe McNeal
The script follows Chris Powers, a Native American man chosen by celestial beings known as the "Star People" to help prepare humanity for their return. Chris and his friend Jon both encounter mysterious lights while hunting in the mountains. Jon, a skeptic, refuses to believe and ends up institutionalized after a suicide attempt.
Chris's wife Mary passed away years ago, leaving him to raise their two daughters, Nicole and Francis. Francis blames herself for her mother's death. Chris takes the girls camping to the site where he saw the lights. There, Francis encounters a mystical cave painting and is visited by an angelic being who tells her she must help her father spread the word of the Star People's coming.
Meanwhile, Chris meets Jerry Whitebird and Rachel, two others who have communicated with the Star People. Rachel is actually one of them in human form. They explain that Chris must perform a sacred ceremony to receive enlightenment and share it with non-believers, or else many will perish from the shock of the Star People's arrival.
Chris, Nicole and Francis all have visions of Mary, revealed to be an ethereal being guiding them. She explains they have been chosen to prepare humanity. Jerry sacrifices himself so Rachel can complete her mission.
In the end, the Star People arrive around the world in silver spheres. People of all races come together in peace as foretold by prophecy. Chris and Jon go on the radio to discuss the Star People's message - that humanity must remember the fundamentals of respect, love and kindness, and be ready to learn anew from the celestial beings in order to save the planet and usher in a new era.
The screenplay blends Native American spirituality and science fiction to tell a story about faith, family, and uniting humanity in troubled times. The light imagery represents enlightenment descending upon receptive individuals who can then guide others. Overall, it conveys a hopeful message about people coming together through shared belief and values.
What was spoken in prophecy is manifesting destiny upon the world. It was said that the Men of Wisdom, Rainbow Warriors and the Ancestors from the Stars would return..... The truth shall set you free!
