Using a new opening and a recut of many older animation films linked together with Stan Freberg's narration, the story is told of how Goofy, after failure at many sports and jobs, finally finds success as a soccer star.

Goofy tries and fails at golf, tennis, basketball, baseball, track and field, every sport and job he tries. Finally, he tries soccer. There is something about soccer that suits his style, and Goofy finally finds success as a soccer superstar.—John Klawitter
