When their grandmother brings special seeds, Ammu rescues them after dismissal by her father. Conflict over traditional medicine ensues until Ammu's secret trip unveils tradition's value, changing her parents' perspective.

The story starts off with Amulya (Ammu) waking up for receiving her grandmother. Her parents left her and Her brother Anvesh (Anni) grandma comes home and stays with them for some days. Grandma gives some seeds and asks Ammu father to give these seeds to his friend, Srinivas. Next morning, Her father drops her at the bus stop and throws the seeds in a garbage pile given by grandma. Ammu sees it and picked up the seeds but doesn't say about it to grandma because she'll get hurt and sad. He lies about giving the seeds to Srinivas to grandma. Next day the maid of their house comes and asks some money for the treatment of her child. Ammu's mom denies but when Ammu's grandma gives a medicine made by her, Ammu's mother gives money to to maid because if the medicine becomes poisoned the maid will create a issue. Learning all about this Ammu's grandma becomes very sad and wants go back to the village. Ammu asks her to stay until her exams which she agrees. When her grandma boards the train she also secretly boards off the train and goes to her village. How Ammu's parents parents reach there and realise their mistake forms the rest of the story.
