Steve has given up on football and gymnastics after breaking an arm. Julie comes to town to train for the U.S. gymnastics championship, the first step to the Olympics. They meet and she motivates him to return to the gym.

Steve is a talented gymnast who has given up competition and is working at his father's bike shop. Julie is the new girl at his old gym, who has moved to town to train with their powerful coach. Inspired by Julie, Steve resumes training. While dealing with the conflicts in their personal lives and the stress of training, they prepare for the U.S. Olympic Trials.—Caitlin

Steve was once a rising star in both football and gymnastics who gives up on his dreams because his father gave up on supporting him emotionally. He now lives in regret over lost opportunities working as a motorcycle builder. He keeps an eye on his old gymnastics team and one day spies this new girl from New York City that joins the team. After meeting, they quickly enter into a relationship and she guides him and inspires him to rejoin the team.
