A Nick Wong comedy, set in a village called Da Di, starring Cedric Loo, Sharon Yang, and more.
Synopsis - "Amazing Spring"
In this modern society, the standard of living is constantly improving, and the disparity between the rich and the poor is growing. It's as if they are living in two different worlds. Coupled with the development of technology and social networks, the poor are constantly marginalized, and wealthy people continue to flaunt their riches.
Second generation rich kid "Liong Mun Shan" (played by model Cedric Loo) has always felt that money is omnipotent. He gets whatever he wants since he was young. In order to fulfill a birthday wish of his mother "Liong Xiu Yoke" (played by veteran HK star and acrobat Yang Pan Pan), Mun Shan decides to accept a challenge brought forward by his uncle, which is to acquire a village land with RM60 million worth of mineable resources. Once he successfully completes the challenge, he will take over the position of the Group Chairman.
Dadi Village lags behind the modern world by at least 50 years. They don't even have basic water and electricity supply. The environment in the village and the clothes of the villagers seem to have dated back to the times of early republic. The only young people in the village are the village chief "Sheung Foon" (played by MY DJ and actor Jack Lim) whose IQ is of a ten year old, and his younger sister "Sheung Lok" (played by actress Joey Leong). The rest of the villagers are aged 70-80 years old. Among the elders is handyman "Si Batt Bou" (played by veteran HK Chinese opera star Law Kar Ying) who manages the errands of the village, frowny faced Lee, mistress discipline Zheng Po, 'the beautiful seven fairies', and the '4 Great Kings' and is skillful in martial arts.
The villagers in Dadi Village are separated from the modern world, self-sufficed, and regard money as dirt. Everyone does not distinguish between you and me, and they work together and live a very happy life. And there begins Mun Shan's quest of integrating into ancient Dadi Village, and a series of funny encounters ensue.
