Commissioner Tirelli, a few months after retirement, finds himself having to investigate the television journalist Vivaldi, found dead three years after his disappearance. Tirelli gets in touch with everyone who has had relationships with the journalist, from his wife to his lover, up to the operator who worked with him and had always shown him hostility. The investigation, however, spreads like wildfire so much so that Tirelli begins to lose any point of reference.—Cinematografo
