Summaries

A wealthy American businessman sends his spoiled young daughter to Paris to get "refinement", but she gets involved with a gold-digging "nobleman" who's after her money.

Unsophisticated Claire Sutherland, is sent by her father to Paris to acquire some social polish; she returns with a bevy of fashionable clothes, some new ideas, and a Parisian count with whom she has become infatuated. Claire soon becomes interested, however, in young David Elrod because of his apparent indifference to her. When she discovers that the count is married, and realizes that her happiness actually lies with David, all ends happily.—Pamela Short
