A group of people start a business where they impersonate the recently deceased in order to help their clients through the grieving process.

To ease the pain of the bereaved after the loss of a beloved one, a handful of eclectic misfits decide to form a company, The Alps. Of course, for a small fee, its discreet, well-trained staff can be whomever the customer desires, be it a cherished son or a dead spouse; the Alps' employees can even learn the dear deceased's quirks and mannerisms to speed the mourning process up. However, what happens if one of the Alps breaks protocol and becomes too attached to the client?—Nick Riganas

The Alps is a secret society including a nurse, a gym coach, a gymnast and a paramedic. They offer a unique service: the recently bereaved can hire them to act as surrogates for the deceased loved ones-wearing their clothes, adopting their mannerisms, etc.-in order to help them adjust to their loss.

A nurse, a paramedic, a rhythmic gymnast and her coach offer a unique service for hire wherein they stand in for dead people by appointment, hired by relatives, lovers, friends or colleagues of the deceased, to assist with the grieving process.
