Pim is a Thai woman living in Korea with her husband Wee. At her birthday a friend reads her fortune with a deck of cards and informs that something she has lost will soon return to her. But some lost things are better off staying lost.

"ALONE" tells the story of Pim who moved from Thailand to Korea to escape the guilt of being the surviving half of a conjoined twin. Flashbacks to Pim's childhood show how the bittersweet relationship with her sister, and their commitment to stay together forever, transforms into a repressive bond that ultimately leads to a separation. In Seoul, the Thai Pim is informed that her mother had a heart attack in her hometown. Pim travels with her boyfriend Wee to Thailand to give assistance to her mother. Once in her home, Pim is haunted by her Siamese sister Ploy that died in the surgery of separation when they were teenagers. Wee asks his old friend and psychologist to have sessions with Pim to supersede the trauma of her loss.
