Debbie is about to mature after having always been the sweet and docile girl who was taken advantage of by others. An unpleasant surprise causes her to move away from her mother and her mother's boyfriend Arthur. She moves in with her friend Frans and his parents, a family situation completely different from what she is used to. Debbie's mother and her new husband try to get her back home - and Debbie is at the center of a big showdown between her mother and Arthur.
