All About Ava, although it's fiction, moves constantly between a documentary about the history of the gay life and the revue theaters in Barcelona, and the fictional story of a family whose supposed mother was a Vedtette: Ava. The film was made in a long space of time, a year and half, and places, all around the world, using different material, actors from different countries, personalities of the culture and even a vedette who started working by the time of the civil war.—Anonymous
