Against all odds, Alexandros, a young Christian man from Komotini, falls madly in love with Aishe, a beautiful Muslim woman. As the couple decides to keep their religion and live together, their parents oppose their union, eager to go to great lengths to change their children's minds. Before long, their relationship catches the attention of the Turkish consul, and as a result, the already volatile situation turns into a political dispute.
