Selected scenes from Oehlenschläger's 1805 play about the poor tailor's son Aladdin (Henning Moritzen) who rise to marry the sultan's daughter (Helle Virkner) with the help of wizard Noureddin (Elith Pio) and a genie in a lamp (Eik Koch). Loosely inspired by the adventure from One Thousand and One Nights.
