A group of international students study Modern Standard Arabic at a Baghdad language school during the 1990s.

This 1995 series is set in an Arabic language school in Baghdad and follows a group of international students as they learn MSA. Each episode includes lessons in Modern Standard Arabic plus humorous scenes in the daily lives of the students, teachers and their interconnected families. The central characters are Iraqi-Canadian expat Samir (the great Ezzadine Tabo) and his friends Alfredo (Ricardos Yousef) and Adnan (Khalil Ibrahim), and the teacher, Mrs. Rehab (Hend Kamel). It's dated but oddly charming.
