Leaving his family in Afghanistan to find work in Iran, Ali Bakhsh returns home to Afghanistan in search of his family in the wake of the 9/11 attacks and the following U.S. invasion.

Alibakhsh is a young Afghan man working in Iran. Concerned that he hasn't heard from his family or his wife Shahgol in a while, and with the threat of an American attack looming over the region, Alibakhsh decides to make the long trek home.
