Set in 18th century where Major Robert Gill is assigned to make copies of murals a project he worked for several years.Hr meets a tribal female Paro and love blossoms between them.

After the accidental discovery of Buddhist caves of Ajintha, the British decide to send Captain Gill, a soldier and a skilled artist, to recreate the paintings and sculptures, so that they can be exhibited to popularize the caves. Gill falls in love with Paro, a girl from the local tribal community, who becomes his muse and the source of his creativity.
