Summaries

Agaton Sax is Sweden's greatest detective and has solved more than his fair share of difficult cases.

An animated adaptation of the Swedish comedy-mystery novel series "Agaton Sax" (1955-1978) by Nils-Olof Franzén and Ake Lewerth. The eponymous character is a private detective with a distinctive mustache and a round body type. He owns both his own detective agency and the local newspaper "Bykoping Post". He also operates the futuristic computer "Clever Dick", which he uses for crime solving. Agaton is a lifelong bachelor, with no known love interests. His only living companion is his elderly Aunt Matilda, who provides him with food and assistance in various tasks. Agaton maintains a friendly relationship with Chief Inspector Joshua Lispington, though Joshua has a tendency to mishandle dangerous situations and to unintentionally put Agaton at risk.—Dimos I
