In May of 2001 my mother, Denise Kasell, was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer. Instead of going the traditional route - mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation- she chose a unique treatment in Germany that incorporated alternative treatments along with conventional medical protocols. Now, more than a decade later, her survival proves that forging your own path to treatment isn't a suicide mission, but a feasible option for a vibrant healthy life.
