When Jane is abducted by Arab slave traders, Tarzan comes to her rescue, only to see her kidnapped again by Queen La of Opar. To save Jane, Tarzan must battle both the queen's minions and William Clayton, who seeks Tarzan's family title.

Tarzan spurns the love of La, Queen of Opar. When he isn't trying to keep the Bolshevik Rokoff and Clayton (pretender to the Greystoke estate) from reaching Opar, he is attacked simultaneously by two lions, dropped into a pit when a volcano splits the ground, nearly sacrificed by sun worshipers, and so on.—Ed Stephan <[email protected]>

Shipwrecked in a dangerous, lion-infested part of Africa, Professor Porter, and his daughter, Jane, find themselves trapped in the heart of the jungle. After evading capture by duplicitous Clayton and his wicked ally, Rokoff, Tarzan rescues Jane from Arab slave-traders, unbeknownst to him that Queen La, the temptress priestess of the hidden city of Opar, and her minions are watching their every move. Now, as Tarzan saves, once more, beautiful Jane from certain death by the hands of the evil ruler, Clayton and Rokoff set their sights on abducting Jane, whose intricate tattoo on her back can lead them to Opar's immense riches. Can heroic Tarzan save his beloved mate, and teach the criminals a lesson?—Nick Riganas
