The Battles of Kursk and Stalingrad have been lost, Hitler's forces are in full retreat across the Eastern Front. A Company, in the midst of retreat, are ordered to advance deep into a freezing woodland, hell engulfs the battlefield.

After a suicidal advance is ordered by out-of-touch higher-ups, a company of German infantry march into a deathtrap, and sacrifice their integrity in an attempt to save their families, a fatal decision that will come to haunt them.
