Adlai E. Stevenson, former governor of Illinois and twice candidate for President of the U.S., addresses the Annual Conference of the United Parents Association of New York City. In his speech, he emphasizes the need for defining our educational ideals and for setting our sights high, in this period of reappraisal, as opposed to depending merely on greater financial support for education. Stevenson will be introduced by Mrs. Gladys Harburger, president of the Association, which is meeting in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.
