Our earth is a biosphere in the Milky Way galaxy. Apart from oceans, major part of the land in the earth is covered by forests & savannas where wild animals are in harmony with their surroundings. Humans living in the other part of the sphere have become parasites.'ADAVI NAINAR' forest is in the western ghats of India, the mountain range which was declared as a 'UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE' and this is where the 'Kaani' tribes lived. A new law, 'Indian Wild Life Act' was passed to protect wild life in the year 1972, resulted in eviction of all the tribal groups from the forests. When everyone moved out of ADAVI, one man "Moottukkaani" refused and moved in to the deeper sections of forest as he believed that the laws are destroying human identity and connect with the nature. This man always felt the ADAVI forest as his home and was certain about his role as the protector of ADAVI wild life. Aging and his love for nature made him to lookout for a successor for his forest kingdom. Moottukkaani's harmony with the nature helped him to communicate with the animals, plants and trees. One day a bird guides him to find an infant washed ashore at a river bank. The prince thus arrived to take up the legacy, named as 'Kutty Raja' by Moottukkaani, grows in the nature and gets the tacit knowledge gathered by the old man during his lifetime.In the other side of the forest, the evicted tribes slowly degrade and merge themselves with the so called civilized destroyers of nature in the name of modernization and science.When the kid 'KUTTY RAJA' is almost ready to take up the legacy of Moottukkaani, a team of forest officials along with a researcher enter the forest. The visitors were thrilled by the presence of a human in the wild, forcibly take KUTTY RAJA to the so called normal life.The BLACK & WHITE SILENT movie 'ADAVI' portrays the never ending story of the conflict of human race with nature and helpless nature lover Moottukkaani's pain resulting out of his futile attempt to install a successor to carry on with his mission.
