Ace Crawford, a bumbling detective, stumbles through cases only by sheer luck. His accountant sidekick Toomey believes Ace's hype, while Ace pines for singer Luana at Inch's wharf bar.

Ace Crawford is an incompetent gumshoe whose reputation as an ace detective is maintained by a progression of wild accidents and dumb luck. He is assisted by Toomey, a CPA who truly believed his mystique.
