Set in 1972, and inspired by real events, Academy Boyz is the story of a scholarship program that brought inner-city boys to America's finest boarding school.

Prep takes place in the 70's. Wagner is trying to receive a basketball scholarship so that he may attend college. But McCormick has many conflicts with Wagner throughout the movie. Racial tension is high as Glen is one of the only four African Americans in the whole school.
