It is the story of Gulzar who demanded a respectful life but was denied it. It is also the story of Shamshad Jan who couldn't give Gulzar the details about his father-the one thing Gulzar was longing for. It also happens to be the story of Sitara who used to think that love is not related to the name of the fore-fathers associated with someone. But she realized that society is not interested in love. It is interested only in the name of the fore-fathers. And that her Gulzar had every other thing but the name of his father. And it is also the story of that society in which the characters of this story live and die-and which happens to be our one sick, very sick society.
