Devastated after her husband, Avinash, loses the use of his legs during a work-related accident, Sumitra Pradhan, takes it upon herself to look after the entire family of four, including two toddlers, Deepak and Kiran, and even sells one of her kidneys so that they could carry on with their education. Years later both sons have grown and have chosen their respective wives in Prajakta and Shefali Jadhav. In order to pay for Kiran's Engineering education, as well as arrange for funds for Avinash's operation, Sumitra asks bank-employed Deepak to secure a loan.
