In the early 20th century, a young doctor arrives in a small Russian village around the time of the Russian Revolution to work in the local hospital.

1917: Russia is on the brink of the Russian Revolution. The young doctor Dr Vladimir Bomgard starts his first job in the province. Until now, the fresh university graduate from Moscow has only known medicine from its theoretical side, but now he has to face the harsh reality. Although he is the only doctor in the area, Dr Bomgard is not completely alone. For he receives advice from his alter ego from the future, who, however, does not hold back with sarcastic remarks about his insecurities and neuroses.
