In Spain gipsies save a dancer from jail when her admirer kills the count who ruined her career.

Dolores, a gypsy dancer, falls in love with Dick Tennant, a young English painter, thereby arousing the jealousy of her gypsy lover, Pedro. Tennant, having left the neighborhood, Dolores joins the ballet of a big opera house, and with the aid of the Count de Silva, a married libertine, and rapidly becomes a star. Then Tennant reappears and, by his success with Dolores, earns the hatred of both the Count and Pedro. With a view to separating the lovers, the Count compels his wife to compromise Tennant, and then with the aid of an organized mob at the theater, destroys Dolores' fame. Heartbroken, Dolores is about to surrender to the Count, when Pedro appears and stabs the latter. On circumstantial evidence, Dolores is charged with the crime, and sentenced to imprisonment. On her way to gaol, she is rescued by Tennant. Pedro, who has followed, is mortally wounded and dying, confesses his guilt, thus setting Dolores free to find happiness with Tennant.—The Bioscope - February 7, 1924
