The heartwarming family musical, A Song for Sarah answers the question; Can music save the day when aspiring singer Sarah Caldwell, (orphaned as a baby) and her estranged song writing Uncle are reunited . . . or will secrets from the past and a meddling caseworker drive them further apart?—Anonymous

Sarah's parents were killed when she was an infant. Since that time, she has been under the care of her wealthy grandparents (on her Mother's side). They see to her material needs but provide little, if any, emotional support. In fact, they refuse to tell her anything about her parents because they never approved of her father. Fed up with private schools and summer camps, Sarah, now twelve, sets out to find her roots with the help of her lawyer and self-appointed nanny, Ellen Mayfield. Ellen would rather focus on her career, but since Sarah's grandparents are one of her firm's largest clients, she spends most of her time trying to keep Sarah out of trouble. With Ellen's help, Sarah is soon reunited with her long lost uncle, Skyler Pennington (her father's older brother). He is a devout bachelor and resists the notion that he is Sarah's uncle. He lives a happy-go-lucky lifestyle while managing a group of misfit entertainers which includes, Roxie: a ditzy belly dancer, Bubbles the Clown: who is a bit past his prime, an Elvis impersonator who really believes he is Elvis, and the boy band Take Note. What begins as an antagonistic relationship blossoms into a "family bond" as Skyler and Sarah discover they both share a deep love for music. Unfortunately, Skyler has a long history of hiding from the truth and is reluctant to unlock the secrets of Sarah's past. Ellen adds a touch of romance, but also creates additional chaos because Skyler is not used to having a "woman" in his life... and now, all of a sudden, he has two. He also has to contend with the constant meddling of Sarah's crotchety caseworker, Mrs.Waddlesworth who is clearly not fond of him. She is always lurking about and seems to have a hidden agenda that may not be in Sarah's best interest. Complicating matters is the fact that Skyler, Sarah, and even Ellen, have trust issues. They seldom, if ever, let their guard down long enough to form meaningful relationships. So, the question is: Through all of the ups and downs... Can three people used to going solo, find harmony together?—Tony Coleman
