A young Parisian perfume creator discovers lost roots, danger and romance on the paradisiac island of Martinique.

When Agnès Merline, a young Parisian "nose" for a leading perfume company, journeys to Martinique to answer a call for help a long-lost grandmother, little does she realize that her life is about to change. Suddenly, Agnès learns she has West Indian roots, that her grandmother's family rum distillery is coveted by unscrupulous competitors and that she has a sorceress cousin who is out for revenge. It is all a lot to handle for a young woman who is also being trailed by two ill-intentioned individuals working for a rival perfume manufacturer. As support, Agnès has to rely on a bodyguard sent by her employer to protect her precious "nose."
