A Matter Of Heart depicts several messages with the main subject matter being mental illness. The project depicts Christy spiraling in a crisis as she refuse to accept her diagnosis of bipolar. She has coined the phrase I'm fine and hates the word crazy. Her best friend Tre who has always been there for her and this last stunt, thought it's a bit different than the others, he is still true to her. The crisis grows as Christy's actions and lack of medicating are left unchecked. Infidelity and trust are truly tested in the Manigualt's home. Balen questions his sobriety as he tries to figure out the night of passion with his old high school classmate and underclassmen - Christy.
