A young self-help author returns to her hometown during the Christmas holidays to promote her new book. She soon discovers the true meaning of Christmas and family.

Just before Christmas, successful motivational speaker and bestselling author Rachel Kennedy returns to her hometown to host an event for her upcoming book. There, she learns the true meaning of Christmas when she is rescued from a near fatal accident by a stranger. This close encounter leads her to discover that helping others is not only the key to true success, but just might lead her to finding true love.—Happy_Evil_Dude

Rachel Kennedy is a successful motivational speaker, her brand which not only includes those speaking engagements, but books. She and her manager Stuart are currently negotiating a new book deal with their current publisher with her second book not nearly as successful as the first, the question still being out on the latest one just released. The hook for her next event this Christmas season is that it is taking place for the first time in her hometown of Fall Oaks, MA, although it is not being marketed as a Christmas related event as she doesn't do Christmas, the reason which has placed a strain between her and her only sibling, David, who she is somewhat hesitating seeing while she is in town. Also part of the marketing is that they are hiring a local producer for this event to increase goodwill while in town, the producer hired being a man named Jack whose impressive resume belies now being based in such a small town. Rachel has a life altering moment when a woman, Joy, pushes her out of the way of a speeding car, Joy, when Rachel asks how she can thank her, answering to help someone else who may need help. That simple statement makes Rachel critically evaluate if her brand is indeed helping people in the way she would want as she forges a bond not only with Joy, but with Jack, who encourages her to incorporate a seasonal message in her Fall Oaks event as he tries to get her Christmas spirit back in a meaningful way. These new bonds place her at odds with Stuart, whose mentality is to increase the outward positivity of her brand at all cost even if it is inherently not the right thing to do.—Huggo
