Staring, Alfredo Bowman Jr. (Asami) and Aja Bowman, known in the pilot episode as Sherice Senior (maiden name). Asami and Sherice lead viewers on this holistic journey where they discover, examine and sample medicinal plants, herbs, food and remedies in areas where people live the healthiest and the longest. They learn natural healing methods from holistic healers. They experience different people and cultures around the world. The featured healer in the pilot episode is "A Holistic Journey's" own, Asami. Asami returns to Honduras for the first time in 21 years where his holistic journey was cultivated. The 60-minute film carries on the legacy of Alfredo Darrington Bowman Sr. known as Dr. Sebi, a Honduran self-proclaimed herbalist healer, who practiced in the United States in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Dr. Sebi set up a treatment center in Honduras where he treated clients including, Michael Jackson, Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes, and John Travolta. Dr. Sebi died at 83 in 2016, but his supplements, products and treatments are still popular and widely used.
The pilot documentary, led by Asami and his wife Aja, take you on an adventure with teachable moments of a wide range of healing practices, remedies and holistic lifestyles of people around the world.
