A bookie (Cesar Romero) takes over a bankrupt art gallery and falls in love with a beautiful blonde (Carole Landis)

Tony Miller (Cesar Romero), a shrewd and successful racetrack bookie, falls in love with Helen Mason (Carole Landis), the manager of an art shop and she introduces him to a world of culture which he finds to his taste, which includes dabbling in slight cases of larceny now and again. He transfers his racetrack manipulations into the art business and is surprised to that it also has its quota of chiselers, some smarter than he is, such as a painter named Gigi (J. Carroll Naish), who copies classics and sells them as originals.—Les Adams <[email protected]>
