Third part of Ruy Guerra's trilogy initiated in "Os Fuzis" (1964) and "A Queda" (1978).
A Fúria" concludes the trilogy that includes "Os Fuzis" and "A Queda". It tells the story of Mário (Nelson Xavier), who was killed during the dictatorship. Betrayed by Salatiel (Lima Duarte) and Feijó (Daniel Filho), Mário (now played by Ricardo Blat) rises from the depths of the earth seeking revenge. Taken in by an Indigenous man named Palavra (Urutau), he is aided by three women: Petra (Grace Passô), a rising congresswoman; Monalisa (Lux Nègre), the leader of a paramilitary faction; and Laura (Simone Spoladore), Salatiel's granddaughter. The film addresses the end of a decadent society, now with minorities taking the lead in social transformations.—ACERE
